Santa Fe, NM

Santa Fe is absolutely beautiful! The purple mountains, pink sky, and colorful wild flowers, all frame the beautiful Adobe buildings and red soil.

But the food…HOLY COW! If you could bottle the smell of roasted green chilis you would be a millionaire! Maybe I could just roast a few each week… Never mind!

We now have a full sack of roasted green Chilis and 100 Tamales from Posas to put in our freezer. That may last about 6 months.

These roasters were awesome and they have 10 of them set up in a Big Lots parking lot. That’s our batch of Hatch roasting right there!!

Here are some more fun pics of our visit

  1. Looking good β€οΈπŸ’œπŸ’™. We were there at 4th of July where they do pancakes on the plaza. It was very fun and very different than the way we celebrate in the Midwest

Lovely! Where are y’all going to spend the cold months? We are going to buy our RV today! I think we will head to TN first then make our way southwest for the winter. We are trying to figure out what, if any, memberships to get. We are also looking into a part time work camper job to pay campground fee. What are y’all doing in that department? Any advice for us? Can’t wait to see NM now after seeing your photos!! Safe travels πŸ™‚

    • Actually, we will be staying at West Whales RV Resort and Light Rail in Lower Alabama through the end of the year. We will be workamping there. They do a haunted train ride in October and Christmas lights and train for Nov/Dec. I think they need more people if you’re interested. I can give you the hiring manager’s contact info if you’d like.

How exciting to finally be picking up your RV!! When are you planning to leave?
